During my recent engagements, while assisting senior IT executives to determine how they should reorchestrate their IT strategies to maximize business value assurance, I have too often encountered these questions: how closely do business units or organizations need to be involved, and is there a way to measure the progress of such a collaborative initiative? Given the fact that business holds the pot of money, and most business organizations today entertain the idea of being empowered, this question becomes even more complex. What should you as an IT executive do about it?
