This issue of the Executive Report discusses the resurgence of artificial intelligence (AI) and the next generation of decision support applications. These applications are already appearing in horizontal technology architectures, such as network and systems management frameworks, and in vertical applications, such as those intended to make manufacturers' customer service representatives more effective.
