Strategic IT planning is the most important thing that CIOs and CTOs do. It is also the most difficult thing that CIOs and CTOs do. Every month there are new business strategies to which you must adapt and new technologies that make current technologies, of which the organization has invested millions, obsolete. Every year there are more applications -- self-developed and purchased -- for which you must account and the organization's collaborative infrastructure ² are increasingly important to every element of the organization as well as the organization's critical business partners and customers.
