A recent article in The New York Times helps shed some light on the problem of securing sensitive corporate data. The article, entitled "The Scramble to Protect Personal Data," seems like one of those pieces written to help take the pressure off of an industry that is increasingly finding itself under microscopic scrutiny by lawmakers. And it's really no wonder, as it seems like almost every day, yet another organization reveals that sensitive customer data has been compromised in some way or another.
