Starview Technology has introduced the latest version of its Complex Event Processing (CEP) platform. Until recently, Starview has kept somewhat of a low profile and didn't always immediately appear on the radar when it came to CEP software vendors. This is unfortunate, because Starview has been shipping products since 2003. Moreover, the company's offering, Smart Enterprise, is a very comprehensive CEP platform. I had the pleasure of a briefing by the folks from Starview and wanted to provide an update on the company and its interesting CEP platform. First, however, I'll give a quick overview of CEP just to make sure you know where I'm coming from.
