Supply Chain Intelligence: Development Issues (Part I)

In May 2002, Cutter Consortium conducted a survey in which 118 companies were asked various questions pertaining to the application of data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) for analyzing their supply chain operations. In the last Executive Update ( Vol. 2, No. 7), we examined survey findings indicating the extent to which companies are practicing or planning to practice supply chain intelligence (SCI), the domains for which they are developing applications, how long their initiatives have been fully functional, and the types of end users they have chosen to support with supply chain analytics.
