Supply Chain Intelligence: Development Issues (Part II)
In May 2002, Cutter Consortium conducted a survey asking 118 companies various questions pertaining to the application of data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) for analyzing supply chain operations. In Part I of this series (Vol. 2, No. 8), we examined survey findings indicating the most difficult aspects of supply chain intelligence (SCI) application development, the number of data sources required to support corporate supply chain analytics initiatives, the types of data sources companies are integrating into their SCI applications, and the use of enterprise data warehouses and dedicated data warehouses for SCI applications.
