Test strategically, test early, and test to mitigate your business risks [1]. As I set out in the first of this two-part Advisor (see " Testing Tactics for IT Projects, Part 1," Business-IT Strategies E-Mail Advisor, 18 September 2002), a few simple pointers can help achieve the business led IT testing that ensures you avoid high-profile failures.
