Like it or not, any business that depends heavily on information technology -- in its processes, relationships implemented via electronic channels, or information-based products -- needs to embrace change and innovation as the dominant force driving competition. Any innovative idea gives only a temporary and usually short-lived advantage; the only way to sustain success for a longer period stems from the ability to actively manage the innovation cycles and product portfolios.
