It's Your Ability to Succeed with IT that Matters

When working with businesses to evaluate how they approach information technology, my standard question to business and IT leaders is whether, in their opinion, information technology has strategic relevance. Nicholas Carr's article "IT Doesn't Matter (Harvard Business Review, June 2003), along with the eloquent responses and the ensuing debate it generated, seems to have helped to crystallize business thinking on that fundamental question.
