All Roads Lead to BPM
In the May 2003 issue of Harvard Business Review, Nicholas Carr kicked up a firestorm of controversy with his article entitled "IT Doesn't Matter." Since then, many IT professionals have published rebuttals to his proposition, and many more have been prompted to think objectively about his ideas. Basically, Carr argues that IT has gone the way of the railroads and other advancements of the Industrial Age. IT is now a commodity that everyone has, and hence is no longer a competitive advantage.
