Governance for the Early 21st Century

by Stephen J. Andriole

Governance is real, unavoidable and political. Increasingly, it's stimulated by regulatory changes. To some, it defines corporate culture. Others only think about governance as being applicable to back-office processes. The approach to governance that I'm taking here is broader than most definitions you'll find. In fact, I'm actually making an argument for the concept of governance to change dramatically, for us to treat governance as a way to manage internal and external priorities through the application of a set of governance best practices.
