Much of the literature on IT strategic planning has focused on front-end activities and the ubiquitous dilemma of aligning enterprise objectives with the strategic direction of IT. But little attention has been paid to back-end IT strategic planning: that is, how to proceed after the organization identifies the IT projects it needs.
