Ask the Experts: Business-IT Alignment: Part II

by Maxwell Hughes, Chris Pickering, Rob Thomsett, Stephen J. Andriole, Jim Highsmith

This Executive Update is the second in a two-part series containing excerpts from a panel discussion on business-IT alignment (see Executive Update, July 1999, No. 2). The discussion followed a presentation on adaptive software development and took place at Summit '99, Cutter Consortium's annual conference for IT professionals, which was held in Boston in April. The panel was made up of Cutter Consortium Senior Consultants Max Hughes, Chris Pickering, Rob Thomsett, and Steve Andriole, with Jim Highsmith serving as moderator. During the session, audience members asked the panel questions and offered comments. Ed Yourdon, chairman of Cutter Consortium, also jumped in with an occasional comment.
