E-Business Success Factors

Respondents to Cutter Consortium's latest Business-IT Strategies survey on e-business and IT alignment are evenly distributed on the question of e-business success. As Figure 1 shows, 51% of respondents rate their success as good to excellent (4, 5, and 6 in Figure 1), while 49% rate their success as less-than-good to dismal (3, 2, and 1). This balanced distribution invites analysis of the organizational and financial factors that would be expected to contribute to success to see whether they really do. This Executive Update presents that analysis.
