Risk and the Economics of Testing: Part 2
In Part 1 (Executive Update, Vol. 5, No. 16) of this two-part series, I discussed the role of risk-based testing in the economics of software development and described a process for using an initial risk assessment as the basis for negotiating test resource levels for a project. In this Update, I present and discuss a list of specific risk factors that will help to direct risk-based testing at different stages of the software development lifecycle.
