Today's economic climate requires a corporation to conduct a cost-benefit analysis of every new nonoperational IT undertaking. Recently, substantial emphasis has been placed on the use of existing resources instead of the development or acquisition of new ones. Existing resources include acquired equipment and hired personnel as well as existing software and hardware.
