The Portfolio of Lifecycle Management Techniques: The New IT Portfolio Management?

While IT portfolio management today comprises some common principles, it also includes a variety of similar yet not precisely the same definitions. While a multiplicity of definitions has not prevented organizations from reaping some of its rewards, perhaps a fresh approach to the portfolio concept might inspire managers unsatisfied with their current efforts. I invite you to a thought experiment.
