The Important PMO Role: Bridging the Gap Between IT and Business Value

Since PMOs are almost the only source of enterprise-wide project monitoring and review, PMOs have the critical opportunity to focus on and deliver improved business value. This opportunity should result in a clear emphasis on business value in projects as well as the factors leading to successful project completion; in this way, PMOs can significantly close the gap between IT and business value.
