Microsoft, MDA, and Unisys

Last week I wrote about the struggle shaping up between the OMG and Microsoft (see " Microsoft, MDA, and Multiple Languages," 10 November 2004). The hundreds of companies making up the OMG have been working to significantly simplify software development by creating the Model Driven Architecture (MDA), which would, if successful, make it possible for companies to keep their various models aligned and considerably simplify the problems involved in moving from one product to another.
