Web Services Interoperability

If you ask IT managers, architects, developers, or analysts what they see as the key benefit offered by Web services, odds are that most of them will say "interoperability." They may express themselves in other words, perhaps talking about "transparency" or "platform independence," but the idea is the same. The whole point about Web services is that programs running in pretty much any two environments -- no matter how different -- should be able to communicate easily with one another.
