Web Services Security: the Problem

The November WSS was the first of three issues dedicated to Web services security. In it, I expatiated about the unsatisfactory state of Internet security, mentioned some interesting and instructive recent attacks, and suggested that any rollout of commercial Web services had better incorporate a well-thought-out and effective security policy. Otherwise, organizations that open up the hearts of their corporate IT systems to the Internet may live to regret it.
