Rapid Delivery of Enterprise Architecture

by Clive Finkelstein

Today the use of enterprise architecture (EA) within government, defense, and commercial organizations has exploded. Business-driven methods identify high-reusability business processes that use common shared data as an integrated resource. Data is updated once and becomes immediately available to all shared systems. These methods enable priority business processes to be delivered into production as systems in three-month increments using rapid delivery technologies based on Web services and service-oriented architecture (SOA). Together, these rapid-delivery methods and technologies lead to the improved cost-effectiveness of business processes with dramatic cost savings.
