Retooling for the Internet Age
In 1997, IMA, a well-known independent software vendor of large-scale, high-volume customer interaction center (call center) applications, made a conscious decision to re-architect its entire software line and its software development organization around component technology and open distributed computing. As this Executive Report details, what seemed like a "bleeding edge" bet several years ago is starting to pay off. IMA is able to quickly extend and reposition its software product suite into today's Internet-driven software market. IMA can also use its new technology to help its clients bridge their legacy software, including that of IMA's competitors, into the Internet.
