MDA in Action: An Anatomy of a Platform-Independent Model

One of the most important buzzwords emerging in enterprise architecture today is MDA -- Model Driven Architecture. MDA is codified and promoted by the Object Management Group as a kind of road map for applying its better-known UML to enterprise solutions. Whereas UML has been used primarily in the modeling of software designs in the past, MDA may be viewed as a way of applying UML and related standards to all aspects of a software system, from business requirements to deployment models.
