Empowering a Collaborative Enterprise Architecture

Practitioners likely agree that instilling teamwork as part of a collaborative approach to successfully integrate and extend enterprises is important. But IT organizations also must consider strengthening their relationships with business counterparts as well as technology partners, vendors, and providers, whether the issue involves entry into a new market or gaining a competitive edge. In fact, in today's economy, it is a given for business users and financial sponsors to be empowered early in the enterprise integration lifecycle. And because organizations use globally dispersed resources, it's vital to make a compelling business case to senior management before embarking on an enterprise architecture (EA) initiative that promotes collaboration across the company.
