Allink Agent for Real-Time CRM

by Curt Hall

In last week's Business Intelligence E-Mail Advisor, I discussed how the data warehouse has evolved considerably beyond its original role of serving as an extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) platform for periodically updating a repository of largely static information. If you remember, I said that e-business, customer relationship management (CRM), and personalization applications are increasingly requiring that data warehouses support the real-time (or near real-time) integration of transaction data with data acquired from other sources within and beyond the enterprise. I also discussed how cutting-edge organizations are now developing applications that apply real-time analytics at the initial point of a customer transaction combined with a historical profile maintained in the data warehouse. In this week's Advisor, I examine Allink Agent, a real-time analytical engine from Harte-Hank's Data Technologies.
