Business Intelligence and Workforce Analytics

One area that has not received much attention is the application of business intelligence (BI) for workforce management. This is not all that surprising, because companies have naturally tended to focus their data warehousing and BI efforts on where they think they will receive the great returns on investment (i.e., customer analytics, financial analysis, etc.). This, however, is changing. As companies seek to extend the power of BI throughout their organizations with their enterprise analytics initiatives, some are implementing applications for workforce management.
