Java Online Analytical Processing Update

The Java Community Process (JCP) has announced that its Java online analytical processing (JOLAP) API has successfully completed a 60-day public review period (by potential users) and is now entering the final draft stages before the multidimensional data management and interoperability specification is released for general use. Development of the JOLAP API is important because it will benefit vendors and end users of OLAP, data warehouses, and other BI tools. Since I have not covered the JOLAP specification before, I will do so here.
