SPSS Acquires DataDistilleries

Data mining and statistical analysis products vendor SPSS Inc. has acquired DataDistilleries, a vendor of analytic customer relationship management (CRM) applications based in the Netherlands. This recent acquisition has generated little attention. Nonetheless, I feel it is important because it adds DataDistilleries' line of focused analytic applications to SPSS's well-known lineup of data mining and statistical analysis tools and it further bolsters SPSS's strategy of offering a range of analytic applications.
