Grids, Linux Clustering, and Data Warehousing

An important development I see taking place in 2005 is the use of Linux for corporate data warehousing applications. Linux is everywhere, and innovative organizations are now starting to apply it to data warehousing in order to take advantage of its low-cost/high-performance benefits. In particular, organizations should closely examine the possibility of utilizing clusters of Linux-based computers deployed in grid environments for data warehousing applications.
