Business Performance Management and Mobile BI

I've been thinking a lot about "mobile BI" -- the ability to view and interact with performance-related information on mobile devices like smartphones and PDAs. Mobile BI is not really very new. In fact, many of the major BI vendors introduced software and services that allowed users to generate, view, and drill down on reports based on corporate data way back in 2001 (I wrote an article covering mobile BI, as well as the technology that makes it possible, on 24 April 2001 -- see "BI Without Wires").
