Organizations worldwide are moving to become real-time enterprises. In a recent Cutter Consortium Enterprise Architecture Executive Report, " Building a Real-Time Enterprise: Why It's Worth the Effort" (Vol. 5, No. 10), I sought to explain why this EDA is so important and why organizations that can make the transition to a real-time enterprise are apt to be more competitive as the world comes out of the current economic downturn.
