The Digital Age: Managing Digital Assets
Over the past 30 years, more and more things have been digitized. Fast computers and fast communication have changed the world. But digital riches are creating a new generation of digital problems, including digital asset management. Digital asset management is the practice of finding out what you have, figuring out what to do with it, keeping track of everything, and being able to find it all when you want it. It involves managing each type of digital asset individually while managing the relationships collectively. This presents a real challenge since all data types do not lend themselves to the same tools and techniques.
