Knowledge management (KM) is an orphan as management disciplines go, seeing as some organizations have thrown up their hands in resignation. For a variety of reasons, ambitious hopes have been dashed as KM has failed to meet expectations. A radical new way of approaching KM, however, might offer real value and save it from unnecessary extinction.
