Advanced Uses for Supply Chain Intelligence

As reported in my last Executive Update ( Vol. 4, No. 14), organizations are implementing supply chain intelligence (SCI) applications in an effort to streamline and optimize their supply chain processes. But how are they implementing their SCI applications? And are they utilizing automated alerting capabilities to notify supply chain analysts and managers of important supply chain events such as supplier shipments and delivery bottlenecks? Finally, what are their plans for using radio frequency identification (RFID) technology for inventory tracking and data warehousing purposes?
