In August/September 2007, Cutter Consortium conducted a survey of 119 end-user organizations worldwide designed to measure the use of various SaaS/on-demand BI and data warehousing solutions. In this Executive Update, Part I in a series examining the results of this survey, I focus on the extent to which organizations are now using or planning to use SaaS/on-demand software to meet their BI, data warehousing, and other data analysis and data management needs. I also examine the main reasons why organizations say they are or are not using SaaS/on-demand BI and data warehousing offerings.
