Leapfrogging into Right-Brained BI Reporting Systems: An Intuition-Focused Approach

In the world of business intelligence, the success or failure of any initiative is directly dependent on the data presented in the BI reports and the quality of that data. This is because the BI reports must align with the business needs (both at the strategic and tactical level) for the initiative to even survive in the IT landscape. Since BI reports are used as tools or aids in the decision-making process, they must be accurate and useful in communicating information to users. This important component of BI systems needs good alignment with the business needs at all levels. In this Executive Update, we examine numerous types of BI reports, specifically "right-brained" reports, which can supplement the traditional "left-brained" report approaches.
