The designers and managers of most workplaces exhibit some concern for the physical safety of workers. Of course, some places of work are inherently dangerous: coal mines, for example. However, no one puts much attention on psychic safety. Mostly, workers must protect themselves as best they can from the difficulties of work and interaction with others.
