As Curt Hall points out in the opening article of this month's issue of the Cutter IT Journal, data warehousing has attracted growing interest around the world, but "it remains one of the riskiest IT projects an organization can undertake." We've covered data warehousing from time to time in recent years, but the focus of many of our earlier articles was on the benefits and opportunities of a relatively new technology. Now that the technology is being widely accepted and implemented, it appears that we need to begin focusing on how to be more successful in data warehouse implementation.
