Trends in Data Warehousing

Data warehousing has captured the attention of organizations worldwide. Despite this growing interest, data warehouse development remains one of the riskiest IT projects an organization can undertake. Building and deploying data warehouse applications is difficult for a number of reasons. These include the fact that data warehousing is largely a process, not a "product," and that different organizations' data processing environments and data management and analysis needs are as unique as the individual lines of business they conduct.
