Now that e-business is becoming a pervasive force in business organiza- tions around the world, we're beginning to realize that it has created an "e-culture" that is often quite different from the prevailing culture within the organization. This may be old news to software developers and members of large, sophisticated IT departments, but it's closer to a revolution than an evolution in other parts of a typical organization. As the Internet, the Web, and "e- stuff" become more and more pervasive throughout the workplace, organizations are drafting and revising the policies and guidelines that describe appropriate employee behavior in this new world.
