Litigation: Introduction
Lawyers and courtrooms are probably the last things your average IT manager would think about during a typical systems development project. There are exceptions, of course -- managers involved in negotiating a contract with a customer for the development of a system generally get to see some of the language describing the legal ramifications of a project failure. But in the atmosphere of optimism and goodwill that typically accompanies a project launch, the "divorce clause" portion of the contract is often overlooked.
