If you believe what you read in the analysts' reports, up to 70% of customer relationship management (CRM) software installation projects fail. This generally poor showing of CRM initiatives is particularly disheartening because managing customer relationships makes so much sense. Of course companies must value and respect their customers! Customers, after all, are every company's raison d'être. Why, then, is it so difficult to manage relationships with customers in spite of all the CRM tools on the market today?
