Philadelphia, 12 September 2002: The aftermath of 9/11 was more than a meltdown of steel, glass, and stock markets. Worldwide, the collapse of confidence in technology and all its symbols resulted in the loss of US $2 trillion of stock market wealth and more than 500,000 telecom jobs. In the corporate world, there was a catch -- repeated moments of grief -- an eerie reluctance to move on.
