Leading Out of IT Burnout
About a year ago, I was invited to speak at Lotusphere in Orlando, Florida. It was only a few months after 9/11, and the economy was struggling. Lotus asked me to speak on "Managing Stress," and since I was the only speaker who was not talking about a highly technical topic, I assumed I would be greeted by a small crowd and little interest. Instead the 300-person room was quickly filled, followed by another and then another as Lotus videoconferenced my presentation into adjacent ballrooms.
