One of the greatest challenges we face in product design is the tactful introduction of new functionality, mindful that the customer rarely welcomes the "newer and better way." Organizations large and small seek design innovations intended to modify customer behavior, either because the change represents a competitive advantage for our products or because the change will save us money.
