Despite the bursting of the Internet bubble and the dramatic slowing of the economy in recent years, managers in software development businesses remain under pressure to reduce cycle times and deliver better software faster. In tougher economic times, it is even more important to do more with less. The arrival of the World Wide Web created many changes. One of those changes was the realization that good user interface (UI) design really matters. Businesses have come to learn that value is created and better realized through products and services with good UI design.
