The Flaws of Business Ethics

One of the core values espoused by most businesses today is that of ethical behavior. In my field, information security, these issues are particularly germane, due to the sensitivity of the information we protect. Yet who determines what constitutes ethical behavior in the business environment? Recently, in the papers and on the news in response to many highly public ethical lapses and the immediate spotlight placed on business practices, we have been hearing about a revolution in business ethics. What exactly are business ethics, anyway?
