Opportunity Knocks
For software development projects, there is often more rhetoric than execution when it comes to early project planning. If little or no planning is done, a project can meander about for quite a long time before arriving at some unpredictable destination, and victory can often be artificially declared. With no clearly defined goals, it becomes much easier to suggest that we accomplished something positive. While some may be comfortable with these falsely generated "successes," it's no way to run a successful business.
